Summer Assembly
Today we had our final assembly of the year. Ms. Mulkerrin congratulated the children on working hard this year and doing their best every day. Some children earned a certificate for not missing a single day of school this year. Bravo!
Sports Day
The weather has not been on our side this June but our ability to have fun and to take part in an exciting sports day have not been hindered. The photos do not do the day justice. It was jam-packed with activity. We divided our time between the yards, the Swan Leisure center and our classrooms (for some yoga and dance).
Senior Infants on tour
We visited Festina Lente on Friday. Rain forecast. Showers appeared. Smiles remained (all day long!).
Junior Infants on tour
…in Airfield. The rain did not stop the children having fun, exploring, learning and planting seeds. They enjoyed feeding the chickens and goats, milking a cow, and they saw a very young calf. Children and teachers had a great day.
A special visitor
The Indian Ambassador to Ireland visited our school on Friday to see children and parents from the infant and senior schools during their weekly yoga class. The class is taught by a very wonderful teacher called Anne from Bikram Yoga Dublin. The Ambassador was impressed with the children’s flexibility and dedication to the class. She had lots of questions for the children about the benefits of yoga and the children were very knowledgeable in their replies. Well done everyone!
May Fair
The May Fair was a huge success today. We bought lots of toys and books, ate in the Rainbow Cafe and bought raffle tickets. What a fun Friday.
Active Week Day 5
Today we did HIP-HOP. We learned a dance sequence. We needed lots of energy to practice all moves. It was a great way to finish Active Week.
Yoga, Zumba, hip-hop, activities in Swan Leisure, tennis, Zuu Chimps. What was your favourite? Can you pick just one? I can’t!

ZUU Chimps came to visit and we took a walk on the wild side…
ZUU Chimps is a “movement-based program currently
running in 8 countries, encompassing the physical, social and mental
aspects of health in our youth.”

Another day. Another busy day. Another busy fun day.
We did Zumba in the hall, tennis outside and skipped during yard.
