Friendship Fornight

Friendship Fortnight was a huge success. The boys and girls really got into the spirit of being extra kind and considerate to their friends. New friends were made too when the children visited different classrooms to do art work and eat lunch together.

Well done to everyone on taking part. What a friendly bunch you are!

Friendship Fortnight and Grandparents Morning

As part of the Friendship Fortnight celebrations, grandparents were invited to a coffee morning and to visit us in our classrooms. The halla and classrooms were packed with our special visitors who traveled from near and far to spend time with us.

Some grandparents couldn’t make the morning but that didn’t mean that they were forgotten. The children in junior infants interviewed their grandparents to find out about the things that they did when they were little. Seán Skyped his granny in New Zealand, Chloe brought photos of her Babkas from Slovakia and the UK and we found out that Gráinne’s granny went to the same school as her teacher. And let’s not forget Daniel’s granddad who loved to play on the beach after school in Wexford and Eric’s granny who liked to play hopscotch and skipping (we do too!).

It was such a special morning. The teachers were as excited as the children to have such lovely and special visitors in their classroom. Thank you for visiting us.

Friendship Fortnight

We are celebrating Friendship Fortnight at the moment.  We are taking part in lots of activities like the Friendship Bus stop, the Friendship Museum, art, visitors from other countries (coming next week!). There is so much going on and we are enjoying all of it.

Come back  next week to see photos of what we have been up to. In the meantime, be friends!
